JOHN MALKOVICH is one of the most inspiring but yet hard to fathom actors of our time.
During a recent visit to the Netherlands (promoting the Dutch film "Bloody Mondays & Strawberry Pies" - a movie about boredom) he was interviewed for television by a room full of young talents from the Dutch Film Academy. As was to be expected, his answers often created more food for thought than shed light on John's mind. He was truly being John Malkovich. Fascinating personality.
In the November 2008 issue of Esquire John Malkovich was interviewed by John H. Richardson. One particular answer leapt to attention, it deals with control and may give us a bit of support in fighting off feelings of depression in the current economic crises:
"I've pretty much learned not to worry about things I can't control. I often find myself with friends and acquaintances and they're worrying about this or that - I say, You're worried about the plane going down? What are you, a pilot?"
